#5  Is tourism harmful？


1. atmosphere (n.)

  • the air that you breathe in a place  空氣
     ex. The atmosphere in the room was so stuffy I could hardly breathe.

  • the character, feeling, or mood of a place or situation  氣氛；環境
     ex. There has been an atmosphere of gloom in the factory since it was announced that it would be closing.

2. artificial (adj.)
  • made by people, often as a copy of something natural  人造的，人工的；仿造的
  • not sincere  虛假的，不真誠的；矯揉造作的
     ex. Their cheerfulness seemed rather strained and artificial.

What’s your opinion? 

As the development of transportation becomes more and more convenient, tourism has become a part of modern life. Tourism can bring many benefits to people or countries, but it also has some disadvantages. For example, the benefits of tourism can promote local economic development, increase the opportunities for diversified exchanges and contact ... etc., the disadvantages, disturbing the lives of local residents, environmental pollution ... etc., so I think that tourism is not necessarily completely harmful. 

The article mentions that many famous tourist cities have proposed measures to restrict tourism in recent years, but as long as we respect other countries and be a responsible high-quality passenger, we can reduce the problems caused by the passengers.
